Purdue Extension Offers Spring Virtual Master Gardener Class

The Purdue Extension Master Gardener class is a volunteer training program designed to teach people a wide array of information about growing plants. Master Gardeners volunteer to share their knowledge with others in the community, with the end goal of making the community a better place to live.
The spring 2021 Purdue Extension Master Gardener class will be held on Wednesdays, beginning March 3 – June 2. Many counties have come together to offer this program which includes a local county connection hour. The statewide live webinars will be held on Wednesdays, from 12:30 – 2:30 pm (CT). In Porter County, the local county connection hour will immediately follow the state, from 2:30-3:30 pm (CT). This will be offered live through a Zoom link.
The cost of the program is $175 for an individual registration and includes a printed version of the Purdue Master Gardener manual. Individuals can also purchase an optional digital version of the manual on a thumb drive if desired. For $270, two people living in the same household can share a print version of the manual.
