It’s been unseasonably warm lately, but winter heating season is here and colder temperatures are arriving. The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor says they want Hoosier consumers to know about tools available to mitigate winter heating bills, with utilities throughout Indiana and the U.S. projecting higher energy costs. The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) says those resources include the federally funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for those who qualify. Also, in addition to payment arrangements, many utilities offer budget billing, which provides a consistent monthly payment. Here’s a link for the full news release .
