Hobart Marine Corps League’s Memorial Ceremony is tomorrow, Friday September 24th, reading aloud the names, ages and hometowns of fallen military personnel, and Friday they will be reading 42 names. It is open to the public, and members of the community who would like to participate Friday by reading names are asked to arrive between 4:30-4:45 pm. The ceremony is held quarterly at the Doughboy Statue at 7th and Main Street in Hobart, starting at 5 pm. Doughboy was a term used to describe U.S. infantrymen of the American Expeditionary Force during World War One.
