A wet and windy day is forecast for the Region. The National Weather Service says showers will continue today, and standing water on some roads is being reported. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are possible. Meteorologists say gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including lawn furniture and Halloween decorations. Tree limbs could also be blown down.
A Wind Advisory and Lakeshore Flood Advisory have been issued. The National Weather Service says large and battering waves of 12 to 16 feet expected. Here is a link to the National Weather Service website.
