Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department officials are providing details on where residents can find information about road conditions and emergency resources in the winter storm. “Thank you to our Porter County Highway and Indiana Department of Transportation plow trucks taking care of our roads in the area so that we may continue to respond to emergencies during these winter conditions,” the news release said. “Some important information we want to let our residents know and those traveling through our area is to be mindful about road conditions and asking yourself is driving right now absolutely necessary? Can it wait? If there is a real emergency, dial 911. If there is not an emergency or no life threatening injuries or immediate request for emergency resources then please dial 219-477-3000 for the Porter County Central Communication Center. Do not call the non-emergency phone number for road conditions or weather reports. Please check local government websites and tune into your local radio or media station for the most up-to-date information,” the news release said, and provided the following information:
