Winter Storm Warnings for the Region

Winter storm warnings are in effect for Northwest Indiana. We have a lengthy list of school and other weather-related announcements today at Region Cancellations here at our website.The National Weather Service says wind driven snow, heavy at times, is expected this afternoon into early this evening. Lake effect snow showers are also expected especially in Porter County late this evening. Snow totals from the storm of 3 to 7 inches are expected in the Region, maybe as much nine inches in La Porte County .
