To further promote neighborhood engagement, the city of Valparaiso is hosting a Neighborhood Workshop on Wednesday, June 22, 6 pm to 7 pm at the Indiana Beverage Activity Center
attached to Urschel Pavilion at Central Park Plaza in downtown Valpo. Topics will include Valpo For All Generations, Public Safety and an opportunity to weigh in on the city’s neighborhood programs. ”We look forward to gathering neighborhoods for updates and insights from Mayor Murphy, Police Chief Jeff Balon and Parks Director John Seibert,” said Maggie Clifton, Valparaiso’s Community Engagement Director and host of the workshop.
Neighborhood groups, including homeowners’ associations, neighborhood associations or newly forming groups are encouraged to send representatives to the workshop. “We host these workshops to help neighbors network with each other and with other neighborhoods, sharing good ideas and connecting people with services and resources,” said Clifton. The full agenda is available on the Community Engagement page at Valpo.us .
To participate in the Neighborhood Workshop, please RSVP by contacting Maggie Clifton at City Hall by phone 219-462-1161 or by email. RSVP is requested to ensure materials and space for all
participants.
