In Indiana, the first of 120 self-service civil legal kiosks to be placed around the state starting this month were unveiled this week. It’s part of a partnership between the Indiana Bar Foundation, Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, and Indiana Supreme Court. A news release say the first-of-its-kind kiosks will initially focus on serving Hoosiers facing eviction or housing instability and will expand to include other legal topics later next year. It’s anticipated that all 92 counties will have at least one kiosk host site, and some counties have requested additional kiosks if more funding becomes available.
