A major snowstorm is set to impact parts of the Midwest including Northwest Indiana this week as millions of Americans prepare for holiday travel. Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Iowa are projected to get anywhere between six to 12 inches along with possible blizzard conditions. Winter storm watches have been issued across the northern half of Indiana, including all of the Region from Thursday evening to Saturday morning. Triple-A reports over 112-million people are expected to travel more than 50 miles from home during the period from Friday through January 2nd.
