Ivy Tech Lake County Announces FAFSA Frenzy Fridays

Ivy Tech Community College’s Lake County campus says it wants to help take some of the stress out of applying for college financial aid through its FAFSA Frenzy Fridays. Each Friday through March 17, 2023, students can get help filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid — FAFSA — which is required for college students to be awarded most any financial aid such as grants or scholarships based on need. Campus financial aid staff will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help students complete the form at all three locations: East Chicago, 410 E. Columbus Drive.; Crown Point, 9900 Connecticut Drive; and Gary, 3491 Broadway in the Arts and Sciences Building on the IU Northwest campus. Filing for the 2023-2024 academic year opened on October 1, 2022. “Financial assistance is essential for most people hoping to attend college,” campus Financial Aid Director Michelle Short said. “The FAFSA can be overwhelming, so we’re here to make it easier.” No appointment is necessary but students are welcome to make one by emailing the Ivy Tech Lake County Financial Aid Office.
