FEMA says in the first month $1.2 million has been approved to help Indiana residents recover from storms and tornadoes March 31-April 1, 2023. A news release also says the U.S. Small Business Administration has approved $1.74 million in disaster loans to individuals and businesses. Survivors in twelve counties, including locally Lake County as well as Allen, Benton, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Johnson, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Sullivan and White counties, have until June 14, 2023, to apply for assistance.
