In Valparaiso, the city is hosting a workshop in June to promote neighborhood engagement. A release from the city says neighborhood workshops provide an opportunity for neighborhood representatives to connect, learn from each other and become more familiar with available neighborhood services. The June agenda includes an introduction to Police Chief Andrew McIntyre and a discussion of neighborhood services. “We host these workshops to help neighbors network with each other and with other neighborhoods, sharing good ideas and connecting people with services and resources,” said Maggie Clifton, Valpo’s Director of Community Engagement. The workshop is June 14, 2023, at 5:30pm at Valparaiso City Hall on Lincolnway. The full agenda is available on the Community Engagement page at Valpo.us . Participants are asked to RSVP by contacting Maggie Clifton at City Hall (219) 462-1161. RSVP is requested to ensure materials and space for all participants.
