In Porter County, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says a section of State Road 2 near Valparaiso is scheduled to be closed for about four months starting next week. INDOT says State Road 2 will close just west of County Road North 400 East on or after Monday, August 7, 2023, through about the end of November 2023 for a small structure replacement. The official detour will follow State Road 49, U.S. 6 and State Road 2. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
