Drought Continues in Northwest Indiana

Areas of Indiana are showing improvement, but much of the Region remains in Moderate Drought. The latest U.S. Drought Map released Thursday, August 3, 2023, also continues to show Abnormally Dry conditions across portions of northern Indiana. In Northwest Indiana, most of Lake County, the western half of Porter County, most of Newton and Jasper counties, and southwest corner of Starke County are still experiencing Moderate Drought conditions.
