In Valparaiso, the city’s Engineering Department says Valpo has reached the midway point in its seasonal paving for streets and sidewalks. A news release said Valparaiso will pave about seven-point-eight miles of roadway this season and replace about two-point-eight miles of sidewalk. The 2023 infrastructure plan includes highly visible roadways, like Vale Park Road – paved from Calumet east to Sturdy – and portions of Yellowstone and Franklin, which also included significant work in separating storm sewers, the city said. The City of Valparaiso’s Engineering Department has created an online interactive map showing roadway and sidewalk projects. Here is a link to read the full midpoint update on the paving season.
