U.S. Transportation Secretary Buttigieg Visits Gary

In Gary, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg toured Gary/Chicago International Airport Wednesday as part of a series of stops in Indiana to meet with workers and highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is investing in America an announcement said. Buttigieg also met with United Steelworkers in Gary during his visit to Northwest Indiana. While in Gary, the former South Bend mayor joined Northwest Indiana Congressman Frank J. Mrvan, Gary Mayor Jerome Prince, and Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Commissioner Michael Smith for a news conference at the airport. Buttigieg is also visiting Elkhart and Indianapolis this week.
