In Valparaiso, Ivy Tech Community College has announced completion of a new mobile learning unit. Ivy Tech says Learning Lab + is designed to help area students explore academic programs and skilled trade careers, and classes and courses offered inside it will vary throughout the academic year. The mobile unit will be formally unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony April 17, 2024, at 1pm Central Time at the Ivy Tech Community College Campus on Ivy Tech Drive in Valparaiso and the event is open to the public. Development on the unit began in partnership with Ivy Tech and Center for Workforce Innovations, a news release said.
“Our learning lab space is nothing short of an amazing new venture for Ivy Tech Community College. At the college we are 100% committed to meeting students where they are at. Our new mobile unit does just that. This custom mobile classroom space has been intentionally built to deliver higher education at the speed of life for students across the region,” said Campus Chancellor, Aco Sikoski.
“We are beyond thrilled to showcase this new state of the art mobile learning space to community members across Northwest Indiana.
