Hy-Vee to Acquire Strack and Van Til Supermarket Chain

In Region business news, Hy-Vee says it is in the process of acquiring the Strack and Van Til Food Market chain, which has store locations across Northwest Indiana. A news release Wednesday, April 17, 2024, said the acquisition, expected to be finalized in early May, will add 22 stores to Hy-Vee’s retail business units, which include grocery stores around the Midwest. The announcement also said Highland-based Strack and Van Til, also known as Indiana Grocery Group, LLC, will maintain its name and operate as a subsidiary under Hy-Vee, Incorporated.  Here is a link to the full news release.
