Indiana Dunes Birding Festival Marks 10th Anniversary

In northwest Indiana, this year marks the tenth anniversary of the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival, and Region residents are invited to celebrate at a free public launch event Wednesday May 15, 2024, 6-to-9 pm Central Time at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center. Indiana Dunes National Park says the kickoff will feature the opening of the “Dune Birds in Art” exhibition, showcasing artwork inspired by the region’s birds by over a dozen regional artists. Pre-registration for the four-day festival May 16th thru the 19th has concluded, but park officials say limited walk-in registrations will be available on May 15th starting at 4 pm.
