Firerose Would Advise Her Younger Self To “Run In The Opposite Direction” From Billy Ray Cyrus Following Divorce

In a new interview with Stellar magazine, Firerose opened up about her failed 7-month marriage with Billy Ray Cyrus. Firerose reflected that “I probably should have had way better boundaries” when the then-married 48-year-old country star first approached her while in the studio lot where Hannah Montana was filmed. She was only 22-years-old at the time. The two of them reconnected during the pandemic, beginning a four-year romance that ultimately led to them getting married in October of 2023 and divorced this past August. “All I ever tried to do was love and trust this person, which was very ignorant of me,” Firerose reflects. “I really wanted to believe that he was the good version of the man I’d fallen in love with. When I think about what I just went through, I would have told my 22-year-old self to run in the opposite direction and never look back.” (People)
