The Munster Chamber of Commerce says it is celebrating its centennial anniversary this year and marking that milestone with a 100th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts on Ridge Road in Munster. The chamber got its start in May 1925. At the centennial celebration, Citizen of the Year, Phil Potempa, and Volunteer of the Year, Sherry Sink, will be honored with live entertainment provided by Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland band Mr. Funnyman. “The chamber offers offer numerous opportunities for our members to connect and build new relationships,” she said. “We commit ourselves to nurturing the growth of our small businesses and working closely with our civic partners to build a more vibrant community,” said Katie Sannito, chairman of the board for the Munster Chamber of Commerce. More than 250 businesses are part of the Munster Chamber, which meets on the second Tuesday of the month. For more information, visit munsterchamber.org .
