The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County is inviting organizations and non-profits to the Northwest Indiana Earth Day Reuse Fair. It’s meant to keep items out of landfills by encouraging the donation of reusable items to organizations in need and it’s an opportunity for non-profits and schools to receive supplies. Organizations interested in receiving donations must register. Due to space constraints, participating organizations are asked to provide a wish list of up to ten (10) reusable items. Please note that wish list items should not include food or new items. A representative from each organization must be present during the entire collection period to ensure efficient distribution, the district said. The event will be held from 9am to 11:30am Central Time during the Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration April 12, 2025, at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso.
