The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County is seeking volunteers for its 17th annual Earth Day Celebration. There are shifts available the day before and during the event, which is happening Saturday April 12, 2025, 9am-1pm, at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso. Volunteers will assist with setting up and breaking down event stations, guiding attendees through activities, distributing educational materials, and more.
“Volunteers will play a crucial role in helping us promote environmental awareness, engage the community, and celebrate the Earth,” the district said in a news release, and there are several volunteer shifts available to accommodate a variety of schedules:
• Friday, April 11th, 2025: 10am-1pm
• Saturday, April 12th, 2025: 8am-11am
• Saturday, April 12th, 2025: 11am-2pm
• Saturday, April 12th, 2025: 8am-2pm
