In Hobart, a well-traveled section of State Road 51 will be closed through early August. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says part of SR 51 just north of Cleveland Avenue is set to close on or after Monday, April 14, 2025, first for gas line relocation work and then for culvert replacement. During these closures, repairs will also be taking place at the State Road 51/State Road 130 roundabout, resulting in the closure of the northwestern portion of the roundabout. The official detour will follow U.S. 6 and State Road 149 or I-94, I-65 and U.S. 30.
