In Porter County, Liberty Township Volunteer Fire says generous donations and support from local businesses let them replace medical equipment in much need of replacing. With the purchase of medical bags and supplies, Liberty Fire said they were able to place a standard bag across seven of the fire trucks for uniformity. The previous medical bags after many years of service were worn out, the department said, and not able to safely secure all equipment.”Thank you to our community members and local businesses who have allowed for this EMS replacement project to come to fruition! Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer fire department serving Liberty and Jackson Township answering over 1,100 calls annually,” said a news release from the department.
