A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Northwest Indiana Friday with heavy wet snow as a possibility. However, Region News Team Meteorologist Matt Wintz says it’s not yet definite and even just 24 hours out, where the snow band lands is still unclear, adding that this afternoon’s model run should provide a pretty good idea of where the low goes. He says it’s looking to be a very narrow band of five to nine inches of snow that, if it shifts north in the next 24 hours by 10 to 20 miles, the Region goes from several inches of snow to nothing. Temperatures are expected to be back in the 40s this weekend and in the mid to upper 50s Monday. Here’s a link to the National Weather Service Chicago website .
