Indiana Dunes National Park and Indiana Dunes Tourism are rolling out a new and easy way to volunteer. Drop-In Volunteering opportunities will be available nearly every day of the week, including stewardship, restoration, and park clean-up, among others. Those interested can meet at the Park Connection Office near Chellberg Farm on the third Saturday of every month from 9am until noon for a morning of stewardship, and to learn more about Drop-In Volunteering opportunities. In addition, the “Trash Trekkers” program meets daily from 10am until 4pm at the Indiana Dunes Visitors Center and the Paul H. Douglas Center. No formal commitments are necessary to volunteer; park officials recommend comfortable, outdoor clothing, water, bug spray and sunscreen. For more information, click here.
