In Valparaiso, local leaders, educators, and environmental advocates will gather to discuss strategies for reducing plastic waste at a symposium Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 5:30 pm to pm at Valparaiso University’s Harre Union, Ballroom A. The event is open to the public. Hosted by the Plastic Reduction Alliance of Northwest Indiana, the symposium seeks to address the growing concern of plastic pollution and its impact on the environment and public health, a news release said. Attendees will have an opportunity to delve into the psychology of decision making and explore legislative policies related to plastic pollution. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed via Facebook Live, allowing remote participants to join the conversation and ask questions.
