A celestial treat for Region skywatchers as the Friday night sky tonight February 28 2025 will be the setting for a rare occurrence – several planets are set to align, seven to be exact. Just after dusk Mercury will join Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus and Saturn in the western sky. Saturn and Neptune will be the hardest to see because they’ll be close to the horizon. Binoculars or a telescope will be needed to see Uranus and Neptune.
