In Valparaiso, the city has again been named a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation, receiving the recognition for two decades now. “We’re so pleased to earn this designation, recognizing the priority Valparaiso puts on its trees. This is the City of Valparaiso’s 20th year of earning this recognition,” said Matt McBain, Valparaiso’s ISA Certified Arborist and City Forester. The city is hosting an Arbor Day Tree Planting Event at 10 am Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Will Park on Morgan Boulevard in the College Hill neighborhood.
