Shay Mooney was once mistaken for Shaquille O’Neal.
During a Dan+ Shay performance at a charity fundraiser for The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation on Saturday (October 7th), the country star recalled the time a hotel gave him someone else’s dry cleaning.
According to People, Mooney said, “I get into the room and I find this bag and I open it up and I see what I think is a black shirt that I left. However, the “shirt” was actually a pair of boxer shorts that “Me, Dan Smyers, and several of our friends could have fit inside of.”
The singer revealed that he then discovered that the closet of his room was filled with large clothing, “I realized that my name, Shay, is just one letter away from being another gentleman’s name. He’s about 17 times my size.”
