Damaging Winds Possible

A very warm day in the Region today for mid-December with highs expected to reach the low 60s, also a very windy day in the forecast. In fact, the National Weather Service Chicago says damaging winds are likely and could gust as high as 55 miles per hour in Northwest Indiana tonight and into the overnight. Some areas of Chicago could see wind gusts over 60 miles an hour, wind gusts similar to a severe thunderstorm, forecasters said. Here is a link to the National Weather Service website.
