Volunteers Sought to Help Place Flags at Military Gravesites Ahead of Memorial Day Holiday

In Hobart, American Legionnaires Post 54 is seeking help from the community to volunteer to place flags at Evergreen Cemetery on military veterans graves this Sunday May 22, 2022, ahead of the Memorial Day holiday, starting at 8am. There are about one-thousand flags to be placed. And if anyone has extra Phillips screwdrivers to bring them to poke a starter hole in the ground to help place the flags. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. The cemetery is on West 39th Avenue in Hobart. For more information call Chapter Service Officer Joe at 219-629-3966.
