Northwest Indiana RDA Public Hearings on Proposed Transit Development Districts

In Region transportation news, the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority has announced two public hearings to get comments on the proposed establishment of seven Transit Development Districts. Those would be Hammond Gateway, Gary Miller, Munster Ridge Road, Dyer/Munster Main Street, Portage/Ogden Dunes, East Chicago and Michigan City. The two meetings June 9th and July 14th both begin at 10am at the Purdue Technology Center in Crown Point. They’re related to the South Shore Line’s Double Track Northwest Indiana and West Lake Corridor projects. Here is a link for more details.
