Crown Point to Welcome Home Olympian Casey Krueger

Crown Point is planning a special event to welcome Olympian Casey Krueger home to the Hub City. An announcement from the city said to visit downtown Crown Point at 4:30 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2024, with signs to welcome the gold medalist home. A small parade will follow around the square at about 5:15 pm. The news release also said the City of Crown Point will present a proclamation to Krueger for her success at the Olympics on the east side of the historic Lake County Courthouse. During the parade there may be lane restrictions in and around the square. The U.S. women’s soccer team is celebrating its first gold finish since the 2012 London Games.
