In LaPorte County, INDOT Northwest a few days ago said on social media they’re just a few weeks away from opening a new roundabout at U.S. 6 and U.S. 421 near Westville. The intersection’s east junction- also known as the south junction – closed in April for the work. Here is a map from earlier this year showing the closure area and official detour:

Meanwhile, this reminder — the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says part of U.S. 6 is closed for about four months between State Road 49 and Westville. The closure on U.S. 6 northeast of Valparaiso between Mander Road and County Road 350 East began in late August and is set to continue through late December for two small structure replacements.
