In Gary, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says U.S. 12/20/5th Avenue will be closed between Cline Avenue and Colfax Street for about six days as Canadian National Railway rebuilds their grade crossing. INDOT Northwest says the closure is scheduled to start on or after Monday, October 21, 2024, and the official detour will follow State Road 912/Cline Avenue, Interstate 80/94 and State Road 53/Broadway.
