Early Tuesday November 8th, 2022, weather permitting, Region residents can view a total lunar eclipse. NASA says it begins at 2:02am Central Time, and totality, when the moon is fully in Earth’s shadow and takes on a ruddy, orangey-red hue, hence the oft-heard reference “Blood Moon”, begins at 4:17 am Central. The Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, says they’re having a late-night livestream 3-to-6 am Central. There won’t be another total lunar eclipse until March 14, 2025, but there will be partial lunar eclipses before then.
