In Crown Point, the city is again partnering with the Crown Point Community School Corporation to help families in need over the holidays. There are several ways to participate in the Adopt a Family program, now in its 14th year, including a special donation drive collecting new hats, gloves, and socks Friday November 25, 2022, through Sunday November 27, 2022, at Bulldog Park. “The City of Crown Point has helped dozens of families in need over the years during the holiday season,” said Crown Point Mayor Pete Land. “It is heartwarming to see our community embrace these families and provide them with a memorable Christmas.” A news release said this year the city will assist about 12 families and 30 children this year. Donations of non-perishable food items or personal care items are also taken at the Main Entrance of Bulldog Park on South West Street.
