Waves that are 20-feet high are expected on four of the five Great Lakes including Lake Michigan due to the blizzard blasting the area. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Physical Scientist Daniel Titze at their research laboratory in Ann Arbor, Michigan, also said there is not really any ice to dampen the waves yet. He adds the forecast calls for waves around 15-feet on Lake Huron. Waves on Lake Erie will cause it to be below-normal for its water level and hazardous for vessels to navigate.
