A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect this morning for the open waters of Lake Michigan off the Region shoreline. Unseasonably humid conditions persist, with temperatures in the low 70s this morning in NW Indiana. The National Weather Service says today will be the hottest day of this stretch of early-season warmth, with highs in the upper 80s. Unseasonably warm weather is expected today from eastern Colorado to Northwest Indiana, pushing temperatures 15-to-25 degrees above normal and challenging record highs in the central U.S. The heat wave will expand Thursday into Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin. Hundred-degree temperatures are possible from east Texas to central Missouri tomorrow, and forecasters warn that high humidity could make it feel even hotter. Here is a link to the Region forecast.
